Domestic abuse is one of the biggest social issues impacting on women and children across Europe. In the UK alone, one woman in four experiences domestic abuse at some time in her life; two women are killed every week by a current or former partner in England and Wales alone; and the police receive a domestic abuse call every 30 seconds.
