Two Alaska PD officer's pulls over an offender who has missed his court date, and they find a very suspicious-looking bag in the car he's driving. Alaska PD brings viewers to America's Last Frontier where chronically shorthanded police departments across the state must turn to officers from the Lower 48 to fight a soaring crime rate; newbies learn that, like everything else, policing is different in Alaska. In episode one, Jaime Ramos from Virginia becomes Kodiak PD's only female police officer, and soon has her first encounter with the infamous Kodiak bear; Fairbanks officer Gerrit Butler, a former MMA professional, encounters a suspect who also knows martial arts.
