Cambridgeshire pub owner's plan to avoid jail goes bottoms-up - 999 Killer on the Line

After pub landlord Stephen French murdered a customer at the Wisbech Arms, Cambridgeshire, he invented an elaborate cover story to avoid justice. He stabbed builder Christopher Garford 23 times during the attack and waited 20 minutes before he phoned for the police and an ambulance. French then tried to blame the murder on two 'foreigners'. This British-made series investigates domestic crime cases in which the murderer chillingly made the 999 emergency call themselves in order to mask their guilt. Each episode contains interviews with the victim’s friends and family members, interspersed with dramatic reconstruction and a strong narrative.
