The Dutch journalist Peter de Vries sparked renewed interest in the case of missing American student, Natalee Holloway, when he released footage of what he claims to be a drug-fuelled admission of guilt, on the part of a key suspect in the case.

Joran van der Sloot, one of the last people to be seen with Holloway - a high school graduate on holiday in Aruba at the time of her disappearance - is shown confessing to having hidden her body after witnessing her death from excessive drinking.

Van der Sloot is shown speaking under the influence of marijuana on the tape and refutes both its authenticity and the claims made against him by de Vries.

The tape has never led to any arrests and the case continues to mystify all those involved in it...
