Dr Shipman murders his last patient and then forges her will

His killing of Kathleen Grundy and more importantly, the altering of her will, would end Shipman’s hundreds of murders. Grundy’s solicitor daughter had seen to all her mother’s legal affairs and knew she was the sole beneficiary.

Her surprise that this had changed soon turned to suspicion when the new beneficiary emerged as Kathleen Grundy’s doctor, Harold Shipman. She reported this to the police, who had just completed an inconclusive investigation into the doctor a few months earlier.
