The quintessential English serial killer, ‘The Teacup Poisoner’, having experimented on himself and his family (in one case, fatally) had now expanded his chemical tests to colleagues.

When Fred Biggs died on this day, he was actually Graham Young’s second work killing. But as this first death was recorded as pneumonia, Young may have escaped detection.

In the end, it would be his own arrogance that betrayed him...
