Dr Hodel is put under surveillance after ‘The Black Dahlia’ murder

Dr George Hodel came suspicion after his daughter, Tamar, accused him of molesting her. The venereal disease doctor was tried and acquitted and when Tamar was later committed to a state mental hospital it seemed that her accusations were unfounded.

Perhaps it was his abuse that had driven her mad?

After Hodel died in 1999, his son a Los Angeles detective, wrote a book in which he said his father raped Lillian when she was just 14 and that he was the killer of more than just The Black Dahlia...
