UK Dr Harold Shipman kills his 87-year-old patient

When Dr Shipman diagnosed Mrs Cicely Sharples with congestive heart failure, the week before, it was effectively a death sentence.

He used this condition as a cover to explain why a patient had died several days later when he visited.

Two witnesses saw Mrs Sharples on this date and neither remembers her saying she was unwell. Shipman visited her three times that day.
