The local undertaker Deborah Bambroffe (formerly Massey) was becoming concerned over the high death rate of Harold Shipman’s patients, but as she said later, her suspicions seemed ‘so ludicrous’ at the time.
Her father, Alan Massey actually confronted Shipman over the large number of deaths of patients who were fully clothed, sat upright, and who had just been out shopping.
