British au pair Louise Woodward conviction reduced to manslaughter

The 19-year-old's sentence was reduced from second degree murder to manslaughter of the child in her care. Her sentence was reduced to exactly the amount of time she had already served in the US.

From the very outset, this case proved the saying that ‘England and America are two countries separated by a common language’.

Even Louise Woodward’s first description or pronunciation of ‘popping’ down the baby had dramatically different interpretations.
