Waco siege survivors’ trial begins. They plead self-defence

This was the beginning of the trial of 11 branch Davidian sect members, survivors of the Waco Siege.

It ended with a spectacularly incompetent attempt by the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to enter the home of the sect. It led, eventually, to the deaths of 76 Branch Davidians, including 27 children, as well as many US government agents.

For many Americans, the case has still not been properly dealt with and the Branch Davidians maintain the image of relatively innocent victims...
