Lindbergh pays ransom money to ‘Cemetery John’ but no sign of baby

The person who claimed to have kidnapped the son of the celebrity couple, the Lindberghs, called himself ‘John’ in the sixth ransom note. He requested a meeting with a representative of the Lindbergh’s in a cemetery, hence his appellation.

‘Cemetery John’ appeared authentic because he supplied what seemed to be the son’s sleeping suit.

The ransom demand had now doubled to $100,000...
