Behind Bars: Rookie Year

Rookie CO Cohen Mangin

There is nothing easy about being a third-generation CO in the NMCD, and that's exactly what 23-year-old Cohen is about to find out first hand. While the expectations are extremely high within his family, they may be higher within the department. But it's not expectations that Cohen is concerned with, it's the inherent dangers of the job.   Cohen's strengths are the lessons that have been passed down through the generations, but they may have also created his biggest weakness; fear. For coming into the job with his eyes wide open has made him keenly aware that every time he enters the tiers, he his putting his life on the line.
