“THE JAIL: 60 DAYS IN” COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(“the Terms and Conditions”)
The promoter of this “THE JAIL: 60 DAYS IN” competition (“the Competition”) is AETN UK, Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 5QD. AETN UK is the company that in these terms and conditions is called “we” or “us”.
These Terms and Conditions apply to this Competition and if you choose to enter the Competition they form a legally binding agreement between you and us. Please note that we are entitled to amend these Competition Terms and Conditions and/or cancel the Competition without notice where this is necessary in our reasonable opinion for legal or administrative reasons. Any changes to the Competition Terms and Conditions, notices of cancellation or other notices will be set out on this webpage.
Although this Competition is run by AETN UK, the terms and conditions of any third party supplier may also apply and must be accepted and complied with by each Winner. These shall also include compliance with any age restrictions and/or health and safety regulations which apply whilst the Winner enjoys any element of their Prize, are being filmed and/or are taking part in any other promotional activity.

WHO CAN ENTER?
The Competition is open to residents of the UK only and excludes employees (and their families) of any prize provider, AETN UK, Sky Limited and their associated companies.
Entrants must be aged 18 or over on or before the competition week they are entering closes.
We reserve the right to verify your eligibility and to check your identity. All personal details & information you supply must be truthful and accurate. If selected as a Winner you will be asked for proof of your identity and/ or your eligibility, your failure to provide such proof in accordance with the timescales set out herein will result in your disqualification from the Competition.
Any person who breaches any of these Terms and Conditions will be excluded from the chance to win a Prize.
HOW TO ENTER & COMPETITION RULES
By entering the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Entries can only be submitted by visiting “www.crimeandinvestigation.co.uk/win” where there will be a prominent competition area where people visiting the site will be asked to answer a question about the programme “THE JAIL: 60 DAYS IN” via the submission form (the “Entry” or “Entries”).
To enter the Competition, all entrants must provide the correct answer to the question and provide their full name and email address.
The number of entries per entrant is unlimited.
If your Entry contains content that we deem to be offensive, illegal, libelous or inappropriate (judged at our sole discretion) we will disregard your Entry.
Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries not properly received, incomplete or delayed due to technical problems.
By entering the Competition you understand that you are providing your information to AETN UK and agree for your Entry, including your full name, to be used for commercial & promotional purposes by us, without the need for us to verify your details.
The Competition opens on 06 April 2016 and closes at 12:00 (midday) on 03 May 2016 although you will only be able to enter the Competition during the Competition weeks as set out below. See the section “COMPETITION DATES & SELECTION OF WINNERS” below for full details.
COMPETITION DATES & SELECTION OF WINNERS
There will be 4 Winners of the Week and 2 Prison Prize Winners.
A Winner of the Week is selected from the Collated Entries received during that week. The entry period for each week is as below:
Week 1:
Competition opens: Wednesday 06 April 2016.
Competition closes: 12:00 (midday) Tuesday 12 April 2016.
Within twenty-four (24) hours of the closing time Entries received between Wednesday 06 April 2016 and 12:00 (midday) on Tuesday 12 April 2016 will be collated (“the Collated Entries”). From the Collated Entries, only those with a correct answer will be put forward to be randomly selected to win the Winner of the Week Prize (“the Winner of the Week”).
Week 2:
Competition opens: Wednesday 13 April 2016.
Competition closes: 12:00 (midday) Tuesday 19 April 2016.
Within twenty-four (24) hours of the closing time Entries received between Wednesday 13 April 2016 and 12:00 (midday) on Tuesday 19 April 2016 will be collated (“the Collated Entries”). From the Collated Entries, only those with a correct answer will be put forward to be randomly selected to win the Winner of the Week Prize (“the Winner of the Week”).
Week 3:
Competition opens: Wednesday 20 April 2016.
Competition closes: 12:00 (midday) Tuesday 26 April 2016.
Within twenty-four (24) hours of the closing time Entries received between Wednesday 20 April 2016 and 12:00 (midday) on Tuesday 26 April 2016 will be collated (“the Collated Entries”). From the Collated Entries, only those with a correct answer will be put forward to be randomly selected to win the Winner of the Week Prize (“the Winner of the Week”).
Week 4:
Competition opens: Wednesday 27 April 2016.
Competition closes: 12:00 (midday) Tuesday 03 May 2016.
Within twenty-four (24) hours of the closing time Entries received between Wednesday 27 April 2016 and 12:00 (midday) on Tuesday 03 May 2016 will be collated (“the Collated Entries”). From the Collated Entries, only those with a correct answer will be put forward to be randomly selected to win the Winner of the Week Prize (“the Winner of the Week”).
The decision of who is selected to be Winner of the Week by us is final, and no correspondence or discussion concerning how the Winner was selected will be entered into.
Each Winner of the Week will be contacted within twenty-four (24) hours of the judges’ decision via the email address provided on their Entry and they will be required to prove their eligibility to enter the Competition before a Prize can be sent.
If you are selected as a Winner of the Week but after entering the Competition subsequently delete your email account, we will not be able to contact you to award you the Prize and another winner shall be selected.
Each Winner of the Week will have five (5) days from the time of the winner notification email to claim the Prize. To do this they must contact us, prove their eligibility and provide their address.
If a Winner does not respond and provide proof of their eligibility within 5 days they forfeit the Prize and an alternative winner shall be selected (“Alternative Winners”).
Alternative Winners may have a shorter time period to respond which will be stated in their request for proof of eligibility email.
2 Prison Prize Winners will be selected from the Collated Entries as below:
The Prison Prizes will take place on Saturday 11 June 2016. The Prison Prize Winners will be selected from the correct Collated Entries (which for the avoidance of doubt will include one Prison Prize Winner from the Winners of the Week from Week 1 and Week 2 and one Prison Prize Winner from the Winners of the Week from Week 3 and Week 4) received during Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 and Week 4, that is the period commencing 6 April 2016 and closing 03 May 2016.
The decision of who is selected to be a Prison Prize Winner by us is final, and no correspondence or discussion concerning how the Winner was selected will be entered into.
Each Prison Prize Winner will be contacted within twenty-four (24) hours of the judges’ decision via the email address provided on their Entry and they will be required to prove their eligibility to enter the Competition before the Prison Prize can be sent.

Eligibility to win a Prize is subject to you and your Entry’s compliance with these Competition Terms & Conditions. If you are a Winner and we subsequently discover that you have breached these Competition Terms & Conditions (such breach to include but not be limited to you providing inaccurate personal information) you will be disqualified from receiving the Prize.
Our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into.
PRIZES
For each Winner of the Week the prize will be a Crime and Investigation Channel goody bag (“the Winner of the Week Prize”).
There are also 2 Prison Prizes available, as detailed below:
· The two Prison Prizes available on Saturday 11 June 2016 will be the event entitled “The Prison Escape” at the Dana Prison in Shrewsbury which gives the winner and a guest the chance to see if you have the skills to escape being locked in the prison from 8am to 5pm, and
· a £150.00 pre-paid credit card to be used by the Prize Experience Winner towards the costs of travel and/or accommodation to and/or near the Dana Prison in Shrewsbury, as required by the Prize Experience Winner. No other travel, spending money, charges or associated travel insurances are included as part of the Experience Prize.
Please Note: “The Prison Escape” will take place on Saturday 11 June 2016. This date and the venue are fixed and cannot be changed.
Once we have verified a winner’s eligibility (“Confirmation Date”), we will confirm all arrangements connected to the delivery of their Prize.
Please allow 3 months for delivery of the Winner of the Week Prizes from the Confirmation Date.
We won't offer you a substitute prize if after the Confirmation Date you cannot accept the Prize for reasons beyond our control. No alternative prize or cash alternative will be awarded.
If you are the Winner of this Competition you agree that you will allow us to use your name and picture in any marketing and publicity of the Competition undertaken by us, which may be available in more than one country and which may be in a number of media, for example, print, television, internet.
USE OF YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS
We will use your personal details to enter you into the Competition.
If, when entering into this Competition you agreed to receiving future updates from us, we will add your personal details to our HISTORY™ channel mailing lists and they will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in accordance with the law as it relates to people’s personal details.
OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes or limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for any liability which cannot be limited or excluded by the law. Nor do these Terms and Conditions affect the rights that are granted to you as a consumer by the law.
We will not be liable to you if you suffer loss or inconvenience because of the failures of persons or systems that we do not directly control – for example, mobile phone network operators, internet service and/or software providers.
Nor will we be liable to you if after the Confirmation Date you cannot accept the Prize for reasons beyond our control.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
