Among the cases:
Joan Bent In 1986, the frozen body of 47-year-old Bent was found in the trunk of her car, the victim of strangulation. See how analysis of stomach contents helped convict the killer. Shark Bite A prized Great White shark vomits a tattooed arm at an aquarium. Shown in several newspapers, the tattoo was identified by the wife of a man who disappeared after meeting with some shady associates. The Tinning Deaths One of Baden's most sensational cases involved Mary Beth Tinning, whose nine children all died over the course of 14 years. Autopsies performed on each child cited the cause of death as "sudden infant death" or a "death gene," but Dr. Baden was suspicious. Billy Martin When the legendary New York Yankee died in a truck accident on Christmas day in 1989, his surviving fellow passenger, Bill Reedy, claimed that Martin had been behind the wheel. Dr. Baden's autopsy, however, revealed the truth behind the legend. The Attica Prison Riots In one of the most controversial investigations of his career, Baden proved that during the September 1971 riots at Attica State Prison, 13 hostages were killed by bullets shot by state troopers, not (as prison officials claimed) by inmates slashing their throats. Green Haven Murderer In 1982, the body of a female prison guard was found near Green Haven Prison, and Baden was called to look at suspicious teeth marks on the body. LaToya Thomas In a rare case in which a death certificate was changed from "homicide" to "undetermined causes," Baden proved that 13-year-old LaToya, accused of strangling her mother, couldn't have committed the crime. The 5,000 Year Old Man In 1992 the body of a man was found buried under the snow-covered Italian Alps. Forensic evidence revealed he was a 5,000 year old stone-age wanderer. SPECIAL FEATURES
