A disgruntled job applicant steals a bus in San Diego and races it wildly more than a hundred miles to Los Angeles, with the California Highway Patrol in pursuit. Several officers nearly lose their lives before the ten-ton bus finally ploughs into a house.

Every year in the United States, fifty thousand motorists run from the police, injuring and sometimes killing innocent bystanders, police or themselves. In this episode, we examine exciting high-speed police chases from the viewpoint of the principal players involved: The cops who chase, the helicopter pilots who follow above, the media and the fleeing motorist. We will see how tactics, strategy, techniques and new police attitudes are making pursuits safer for everyone involved.
