Anatomy of Crime: Crimes Caught on Tape
Coming Soon

The video camera was only supposed to capture his neighbour in the act of trespassing. Instead, as feuding neighbours in rural Georgia escalate their verbal assaults to a new level, the video records much more. Two shots ring out and a man falls to the ground. We hear him cry out as the first bullet rips through his back. In the background, we hear the shootout continue until the wounded man breaths his last breath and then there’s his wife's anguished cry for help.

At the dawn of the 21st century, crime fighters added video to their arsenal of weapons, and videotape became prized as courtroom evidence. After all, ‘seeing is believing’, or is it? Is videotape evidence a help or a hindrance when it comes to prosecuting criminals? Does the ever-present surveillance camera really prevent crime, or is it merely a security blanket that serves more to invade the privacy of law abiding citizens?
