In the early morning of Sunday 25th January 1920, in a scattered and isolated hamlet in West Cornwall, two lives came to a sudden and brutal end. Partners Joseph Hoare and Laura Sara had both been bludgeoned with a four-foot conifer log and left to die outside their farmhouse.
