Dallas SWAT team Negotiator Jake 'JD' Byas faces the toughest challenge of his career. As the primary negotiator in a barricaded person operation, JD takes the reins. When the suspect holes himself up in a hotel room and refuses to come out, JD manages to secure him on the phone. JD soon realises he is dealing with a drug-dealing murder suspect whose girlfriend just left him. The suspect has a loaded handgun and is suicidal.
