A Killer's Skin/Where's Peggy?

In January of 2000, Detective PJ McKenna gets a call about an elderly woman wandering the streets of Albany, New York. Neighbours guide the woman home, and there Detective McKenna finds a bloody scene with evidence of a rape.

The 85-year-old woman, however, suffers from dementia and can't describe her attacker. With nothing in the way of leads, the investigation takes a backseat to other cases.

In Syracuse, NY, in the winter of 1990, 13-year-old Jerilyn Reome is living in fear of her mother's boyfriend, George Geddes, who has been sexually molesting her. One day the teenager decides to tell her biological father, Jerry Reome, who immediately informs police. Geddes is arrested. A few weeks later, Jerilyn turns 14, but her mother Margaret sends no birthday wishes, which is unusual. Jerilyn reports her mother missing, and Onondaga County Detective Lenny Storto begins to investigate.
