![]() 'Mad' Frankie Fraser is Britain's most notorious criminal - certified insane 3 times he claims to have killed over 40 people.
A rival to The Kray's he pulled his victim's teeth out with pliers or chopped them up with an axe! In a lifetime of crime he's made a few friends - and a lot of enemies! 'Mad' Frankie Fraser is one of Britain's most legendary villains who for 50 years was a key figure in London's Underworld! An associate of the Kray's and the Richardson's - he served over 40 years in prisons and mental institutions and was certified insane three times! Arson, robbery, torture, protection, doping and murder - Fraser has done the lot! Born in South London in 1923 he began a life of crime after a car ran over his head when he was five! After petty thieving he became a full time criminal aged 12 with breaking and entering until he was caught and sent to an approved school. On release he thieved everyday with smash and grabs, wages snatches, safes etc until he was sent to Wandsworth Prison. Inside jail his life was more violent as he assaulted Prison Officers and Governors until he was certified insane and sent to a Mental Hospital. There he received electric shock treatment before being returned to prison where he pounded flintstone all day often being put on bread and water and put in solitary confinement. His attacks on officers were so frequent he took regular beatings and for punishment was given the birch and the cat. One Governor was so hard on him that Frank attacked him punching & pouring excrement over him. The Governor tried to kill him by putting him in a straitjacket, leaving him face down on the floor in his cell so he would suffocate himself over night. Frank survived and convinced everyone he was mad in order to be re-certified by talking to rats. In later years he met the same Governor walking his dog on Clapham Common - Frank hung them both to a tree! The dog died but the Governor survived! In the 50's and 60's Frank was an enforcer for Underworld leaders such the Richardson's. He mixed with the Kray's and blew the legs off rivals and cut people up. In one incident he kidnapped a rival gangster Eric Mason and buried a chopper in his head. He burnt down restaurants, doped horses and did protection for porno clubs. He was acquitted of murder in '65 although he later admitted he did it and eventually received 7 years for his part in a torture trial! Evidence stated that he removed the teeth of his victim with pliers - after they were stripped naked and cut up! In prison again he continued attacking screws and grasses and mixed with the likes of the IRA, John McVicar and the killer of Martin Luthor King - James Earl Ray. Moved over 100 times he was a Grade A prisoner. He attacked the hangman Albert Pierrepoint before the hanging of Derek Bentley and led the huge riot in the Dartmoor in which the army was called out! Further riots led by him were at Parkhurst in '69 when he was charged with incitement to murder! Over 40 years of his life was spent in prison however he got his own back by throwing petrol bombs through the windows of the prison guards homes and was the first criminal who successfully convicted a prison officer! His violent life continued even recently when he was shot outside a club in Clerkenwell. Frank is a link to every villain from the Kray's to the Train Robbers. Chilling and stomach churning Fraser is as interesting to talk to as he is frightening to be with! Soft spoken but hard hitting he's a man worth listening to! SPECIAL FEATURES
