Vanishings: Lord Lucan, Murderer On The Run
Coming Soon

Over thirty years ago British aristocrat Lord Lucan disappeared, accused of killing his children's nanny in the mistaken belief that she was his wife. He has never been found.

'Lucky' Lucan had a private income and a large inheritance left to him by his father, but he was a compulsive gambler and socialite, and had soon lost his wealth. He married fashion model Veronica Duncan, but after having two children together, they were divorced. Lucan remained suspicious and jealous of his former wife.

When police discovered the battered body of 29 year old Sandra Rivett in Lady Lucan's home in the wealthy enclave of London's Belgravia, it was assumed that Lucan had mistaken the nanny for his wife in the darkness.

All the evidence pointed directly at him, including a bloodstained car and a piece of lead piping - the murder weapon. Furthermore, Lord Lucan was not there to answer his critics. He had disappeared.
