In the late 1990s, a string of disappearances in Rockhampton, Queensland left police searching for a killer they could not identify.

The murder of a nine-year-old girl on her way home from school blew the case wide open when ex-con Leonard Fraser was arrested and convicted for her murder.

Without the evidence to connect Fraser to the other disappearances, however, police relied on one of his fellow inmates to get the truth from Fraser.
