Roni Leibovitz, wealthy heir to one of Israel’s largest family fortunes, was cut out of the will and became the country’s most famous bank robber.

Leibovitz fed both his decadent lifestyle and his staggering ego through hitting 22 banks from 1989 to 1990.

In the process, he became Israel’s most wanted criminal in the eyes of the police and an almost mythological folk hero in the eyes of the public.
