Debbie Burns was a demanding, 40-year-old, mentally challenged resident of Florida. She shared a mobile home in St Petersburg with her sister Barbara.

The two sisters had very similar looks and Barbara had sacrificed her own independence at age 15 to take care of Debbie, devoting her life to her sister.

In 2004, Debbie was discovered dead her mobile home. On the night of Debbie’s 40th birthday, she had pushed Barbara into another argument. Barbara had lost it and shot Debbie in her bed.
