Coming Soon
By the age of 26, Al Capone had worked for various hoods in Chicago and was now heading a powerful gang of his own. On 14th February 1929 Capone ordered the infamous St Valentines Day's Massacre to get rid of some of his rivals.
In a dark warehouse in Chicago seven men were gunned down. Later that year, Capone lured three remaining rivals to a banquet in their honor at a Chicago inn. Once they were drunk, Capone seized each man from behind and battered him to death with a baseball bat. Capone was now Chicago's 'King of Crime'. The police could never prove his role in the killings, and he was eventually charged with tax evasion, eleven years imprisonment and only a $50,000 fine. Between 1915 and 1920 Lucky Luciano killed more than 20 people. He was ruthlessly ambitious, and soon after joining the Mafia he was heading his own gang. He was determined to wipe out other mobsters who threatened his rise to the top and killed two of his biggest rivals, Joe Masseria and Salvatore Maranzano. But the law got to him before his rivals, and in 1936 Luciano was in New York's Supreme Court, facing dozens of charges involving prostitution. He was found guilty and sentenced to 30 years imprisonment. In March 1934 John Dillinger broke out of the Crown Point jail in Indiana, and headed for St Paul, Minnesota. This was not his first jail sentence, nor was it his first escape. In May he robbed his first bank and made off with $11,000. Over the next five months his gang hit five more banks. He was captured again, only to be freed by three of his associates. The callous murderer resumed his hobby of bank robbing, but in January Dillinger and his gang were captured in Tucson, Arizona, and sent to the supposedly escape-proof Crown Point jail in Indiana_Dillinger broke out yet again. He was now declared public enemy number one. Finally, on the night of 22nd July Dillinger was gunned down by an FBI agent while leaving a movie house. SPECIAL FEATURES
