Living in the shadow of its big city neighbour to the south, Chicago, Milwaukee has always kept a low profile.

In the mid 1980s, Milwaukee's profile was considerably more prominent, not to mention curvaceous. When ex-cop, ex-Playboy bunny, ex-con, Laurie 'Bambi' Bembenek went on the lam and the whole town, if not the whole country, was saying "run Bambi run".
