4 January 1983: Killer doctor Harold Shipman kills tenth elderly patient

On 4 January 1983 Harold Shipman murdered his tenth elderly patient at the Donneybrook Medical Centre in Hyde. Percy Ward, the patient in question, was 90 years old when Shipman took his life.
