Killer doctor Harold Shipman kills eighth patient May Slater, 84

As with so many of Dr Shipman’s victims, Mrs May Slater’s medical records did not survive.

He certified that she died of congestive heart failure but no one remembers her displaying symptoms, such as swollen ankles, and was considered as a ‘tough old bird’ and in ‘good health’.

As the investigation into the deadly doctor noted, “Even if Mrs Slater was suffering from the effects of heart failure, it is typical that Shipman would take the opportunity to ensure that she did not survive”...
