Date

A date that threw Social Services into the headlines for their own neglect to help Victoria Climbié escape her wretched life, missing twelve separate opportunities to help.

Victoria died after being admitted to hospital with a core temperature so low that doctors couldn’t read it on their normal equipment.

Kouao and Manning were arrested shortly after for her death, in a case described by the Home Office pathologist assigned as ‘…the worst case of child abuse I’ve encountered.’
