Ethel Rosenberg is arrested for espionage against the US

The American public wanted to know how the Russians had learnt to detonate an atomic bomb, and Ethel Rosenberg, the Atom Spy, was the answer.

The trail started with a German-born British atomic scientist and ended with Ethel and her husband Julius. Both had Russian parents and had converted to the Communist cause twenty years previously.

And both would pay the ultimate price for their beliefs.
