Missing : 10-04-2006

Cases supplied by National Missing Persons Helpline

The body of a white male was found on the 10th of April 2006 on a beach at Portnahaven on the Isle of Islay.

He is thought to have died up to a week before. He is described as approximately 45 - 60 years old, about 5ft 9in tall and of medium build. He had dark, collar length hair that was starting to grey but he was bald on top. Several of his upper teeth were missing and he had no lower teeth, though it is not known if he wore dentures or not. He had tattoos on each forearm: one of a thistle and scroll, another of 'Scotland'.

When found he was wearing a black ribbed T shirt, a blue/beige/white striped cotton jumper, a blue/white checked short sleeved shirt and brown lace up shoes, size 8/9. He also wore a celtic design criss-cross ring on the middle finger of his right hand.
