It seemed like a virus spreading across the United States, from Jonesboro, Arkansas to Littleton, Colorado: Gunfire erupting at schools and innocent children being victimized.
The horrific nature of this crime rocked a peaceful Amish community in rural Pennsylvania. On 2nd October 2006, Charles Carl Roberts IV, a 32-year-old milk truck driver, entered the West Nickel Mines Amish School and held hostage 11 girls, between the ages of six and thirteen. He shot at them, critically wounding six and killing five, before ending his own life.
