RECENT QUESTIONS

Q. If you get threatening letters through the post and it's all done in newspaper cuttings. What steps do the police follow? This is happening to me, but the police laughed at me and told me not to worry as it's just people being silly.

Hi,

I hope, by now, this problem has gone away.

However if it hasn’t, the police should take any such circumstances very seriously and do something positive about it! Don’t give up, keep complaining until they get fed up with you and take some action. If that doesn’t work seek to make an official complaint via the particular force’s Professional Standards Department.

Preserve the letters and try to touch them as little as possible. This can be done by placing them in separate sealed plastic bags and then they can be tested for both fingerprints and/or DNA by anyone who bothers to take the time!

Is there more to this story than you have said so far? Do you know why, or by whom, they are being sent?

If you need further information please contact me again.
