17th January 1899 – Al Capone born, New York

16th January 1920 – The Prohibition Act is implemented in America

May 1927 - Supreme Court rules that bootleggers pay income tax

14th FeEbruary 1929 – St Valentine’s Day Massacre

16th March 1930 – Capone first incarcerated at the Eastern Penitentiary

6th October 1931 - Capone is tried in the Federal Court

17th October 1931 – Capone is found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to 11 years
